Beschreibung

The Web 2.0 revolution has changed knowledge management and the way that organizations, both public and private, operate. More and more organizations and companies are integrating social software into their internal and external communication strategies and redesigning their traditional knowledge management processes to meet the needs and expectations of global conversational markets and net generation knowledge workers. Knowledge workers have become “net-workers”.

The Online Certificate Program in Social Media & Knowledge Network Management brings together the most important new theories, concepts, and many concrete examples of new forms of knowledge networks. Knowledge networks are hybrid, heterogeneous cross-organizational forms that connect many different kinds of actors in order to create, share, and apply knowledge to solving complex problems in all areas. Managing knowledge in network environments means integrating traditional KM with disciplines such as human resources, organizational development, change management, innovation management, strategy, information technology, sociology, communication science, and network theory.
